Post- Consulting Editor
Election Commission of India invites applications for the post of Consulting Editor for ECI’s e-Newsletter for a period of one year which is likely to be renewed.
Concept:
The Election Commission of India proposes to bring out a quarterly e-newsletter which would cover the activities related to elections held inIndia and democracy including the activities and highlights of all CEOs offices in 35 States and Union Territories
The Consulting Editor will be responsible for the contents of the newsletter, format, size, design and layout. The candidate should be skilled, experienced and well trained for delivering the above services. He will fully edit the raw material to be collected from various sources and from all CEOs Offices and would be responsible for regular publication of the e-newsletter from raw material to final output stage.
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for engagement as Consulting Editor of ECI’s e-Newsletter for a period of one year only which is likely to be renewed.
Essential Qualifications :
· M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. from recognised University. Ph.D.will be preferable.
· Diploma/Degree in Mass Communication/Journalism from arecongnised University
Experience :
· Must have excellent command over English language with proven Library abilities.
· Minimum 10 years Experience of senior journalistic work or information dissemination work in a Govt. Deptt. or a Newspaper/News Agency or a publication house.
· Aptitude for proven record in copyediting.
· Record of drafting quality write-ups, publications, compilations and supervising products of publications.
Type of Work/Responsibilities :
· Will be fully responsible for compilation, editing and publishing of ECI’s e-Newsletter to the satisfaction of the Commission.
Remuneration offered :
Rs. 50,000/- per Newsletter (quarterly) on completion of work.
