• Age Limit: Between 18 to 25 years as on 24/02/2012
• Qualifications:
candidates should not be less than matriculation from a recognized board with diploma in Motor Mechanic Trade / Automobile Engineering
3. Constable (Driver):
• Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 25 years as on 24/02/2012
• Qualifications: Class 10th Passed from a recognized Board with a valid driving license with minimum driving experience of 2 years
Age Relaxation:
Age of the candidates belonging to SC / ST Category, will be relaxed upto 5 years and for OBC candidates, it will be relaxed upto 3 years. 5 years relaxation will be given to the Govt. Servant
Physical Standard:
Candidates, who are going to apply must fulfill the following physical standard
• ST Candidates: – Height – 162.5 Cm, Chest – 76 to 81
• For Special Category Candidates: – Height – 165, Chest – 78 to 83
• For all other category: – Height – 170, chest – 80 to 85
Medical Standard:
• Eye Sight: – Minimum distant vision for the post of constable, Head Constable in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without wearing any glass
• Candidates must be physically as well as mentally fit, they should not have flat foot, knock knee, varicose vein.
Selection Procedure:
Selection of the candidate on the post will be made on the basis of PST, PET, Written Test, Practical / Trade Test, Interview, Medical Test.
PST: – Eligible candidates will be called for physical standard test which will consist of Weight, chest and height measurements.
PET: – After qualifying in PST, candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test, in which, candidate will have to complete one mile race in 6 and Half minutes, 11 feet long jump and 3.5 feet high jump
Written Test: It will be objective types of 50 Marks based on General Knowledge, General Mathematics and Language Literature. For which, time duration of 2 hours has been allotted
Practical Test: -It will be of 50 Marks
Interview: – After qualifying in practical test candidate will be called for Interview which will be of 15 Marks
Medical Test: Final state of the selection of the candidates will be based on Medical Examination. This Test is taken to assess the fitness of the candidates
